The Matrix is not a spiritual movie.

Can you believe someone told me that?

Whenever you hear this kind of statement in reference to The Matrix, you have two choices.

And they’re not colored pills.

You can listen and say nothing, or try to discourse about the subject.

But be warned friend, the more you fight to stay afloat, the more you sink in verbal quicksand.

There are no bystanders, only byhearers.

You can argue your point, but why throw pearls before swine?

This statement verifies two enduring truths.

Everything isn’t for everyone.

Everybody isn’t going to get it.

The deeper spiritual rivers of The Matrix lie undiscovered and unknown to public scrutiny, appeal, and intrigue.

Like the waters of Arakkis (DUNE), only the free men (symbolic of state of consciousness, not gender) know and seek its rejuvenating powers.

But why bother, who cares about the messages in movies anyway?

Neo/Mr. Anderson represents our higher and lower selves, our Id and Superego.

Who cares that Morpheus is the god of dreams or that to morph means to bring about change?

Who cares that Trinity breathes “the breath of life” into Neo to resurrect him from the dead?

I’ll tell you who cares, NO ONE.

Remember that in your journey to find the truth, your circle must widen.

Your vision must strengthen.

In order to see spirit, you must become spirit.

Trust that you will find light and the light will find you.
