transmission 007 - reality and perception
The seventh transmission from Starship Commander Miquiel Banks.
Quote
But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them OUR ENEMY.
- Morpheus
What is reality?
We can say many things, but let’s keep it simple. Reality is what is. The Now.
But not actually TRUE.
Reality is also the extent of the possibilities.
What is perception?
Before we lose our focus, calm down and stay with me. Perception is our view of
reality.
Because reality exists in different dimensions, it’s not possible to perceive all of it, probably not most of it.
The first problem is that we don’t know all the possibilities, so reality exists in corners of our minds, in the closets of our thoughts, and hovers right outside our imaginative limits.
So through time and evolution of humanity, we will discover more pieces, patches, and parts of reality.
Therefore, we must always fight to improve, to evolve, to spiritualize ourselves.
The Genius of Machines
It is both reality and perception -- yet it is neither.
It is conceivably a different dimensional plane than the reality outside the Matrix, but it is still a reality because of its effects.
It is no less real because if you die in the Matrix, you die in reality.
But Neo resurrected, how is that reality since it isn’t possible for the rest of us?
This is the key to his position as “savior.”
He was innately gifted, but not aware of reality (the possibilities), and still grounded in laws set by ourselves and the machines.
Aren’t the machines geniuses?
By creating The Matrix and allowing us to live out our lives, they created a scientific arena to forecast human behavior and thought like the weather.
More importantly, the capabilities and capacities of the human species.
When they know the extent of humanity, they create their agents more advanced.
For she who has ears, let her hear.
Neo as Evolution
However, Morpheus trains Neo to not realize the possibilities, to become a dynamic force and constantly evolve.
Because of this, Neo is labeled an anomaly by the machines.
He is an anomaly because the machines cannot predict and/or control his behavior, his thoughts, or his perception.
His willpower is so potent he no longer resides in reality per say, he resides in realitied perception.
What he wants, what he wishes, is no longer if.
His perception shapes reality as he deems and this is how we must “free our minds.”
Conclusion
What we know, what we think, what is. This is Reality.
What can be, what might be, what should be.
This is Perception.
