Introduction
As a Matrix Advocate, I am ALWAYS attacked by Church Members and Christians everywhere.
They rant and rave:
Why are you promoting the devil's work?
Why are you promoting evil stuff?
Why are you tainting the biblical teachings?
I'm sick of arguing with these people, so today's lecture will answer this question.
Should Christians care about The Matrix?
What is Christian?
Before we start this lecture, we must start with two basic questions.
What is Christian?
What is a Christian?
So, let's address each one first and then, attempt to converge them into proper context.
First, we'll tackle the big idea - what is Christian?
This term deals with Big Stuff, like movements and groups of people.
After proper research, it's obvious that Christians are a group of like-minded Thinkers that emerged from Alexandria Egypt.
The first core of Advanced Christians were known as Gnostics and they were Highly Intellectual, Fierce, and had the highest understanding of Spiritual Concepts.
Next, let's tackle the small idea - what is a Christian?
This term deals with Small Stuff, like communities and individuals.
This is where division runs rampant because it is the communities that argue, not the individuals.
Unfortunately, the GROUPTHINK and Extrovert Consciousness has destroyed any chances of these warring sides to reconcile.
Now that we've addressed the first issue, let's move to the second one.
What is The Matrix?
Defining The Matrix is a BIG ISSUE, but let's break it down into sections.
First, we'll define the matrix in three sections:
The Spiritual Meaning
The Communal Meaning
The Personal Meaning
The Spiritual Meaning
The Matrix is the Holographic Reality the Computers have created to enslave the Human Race.
The Communal Meaning
The Matrix is the system of "Constant Distractions" that bombard Humanity to stop them from seeking the truth.
The Personal Meaning
The Matrix is the "Dream World" each person must awaken from (Gnosis), live in truth, and return to the Divine Realm (Pleroma).
The Common Theme
The common theme in these definitions is THE TRUTH, remember that when we arrive at the conclusion of this lecture.
Quick History Lesson
Alexandria Egypt
Alexandria Egypt is the Premiere Learning Environment for the Planet.
We have a conglomerate of Global Concepts (Hindu, Buddhist, Platonism, Jewish, etc.) meeting in Open Marketplaces and discussing their varying ideas on Reality.
Groups of People take Egyptian Concepts and break off into separate and disparate Communities.
A new grouping of ideas and concepts emerges and is eventually labeled as Christians.
These emerging Communities tackle the huge questions and engage in intellectual discussions, thinking in visual terms and on several levels of thought at one time.
Their tenacity for the truth earns them the term Gnostics.
Other emerging Communities, not able to keep up or understand the Gnostics, reject their ideas and label them as Heretics.
This second group is known as Proto-Christians.
Marcion of Sinope rejects the theology of the Old Testament and claims its theology is incompatible with the Teachings of Christ.
As a result, he compiles the first canon of Christian scriptures.
The Proto-Christians reject Marcion's ideas and in direct response, compile what we today know as the Holy Bible.
Christian writing techniques
The Ancient Christians used Myth, Symbols, and Metaphors to express Spiritual and Metaphysical Ideas and Concepts.
Spreading their ideas and concepts using tracts, labeled the Good News (Gospels), they took Mythic approaches to answering the big questions about our world and reality.
In particular, the Gnostics took this technique to its highest apex and created two new approaches:
Inverse Exegesis
Allegorical Interpretation
Inverse Exegesis (Upside Down)
This is an upside-down interpretation that tips the established interpretation on its head.
Allegorical Interpretation (Inside Out)
This is an inside-out interpretation because the inner spiritual meaning of a passage is considered more important than the outer literal meaning.
Now that we have established Christian Writing Techniques, what does this have to do with The Matrix?
Christian ideas in The Matrix
Now that we are armed with the proper mindset, we can finally tackle the original question.
Should Christians care about The Matrix?
Let's take a deep dive and explore this question.
The Established Interpretation
The Matrix is a Sci-Fi Film about Kung Fu, Gun Violence, and a weird philosophical idea about living in a Dream World.
As a Christian, I am concerned about achieving Gnosis and once I am armed with Gnosis, I'll be able to live a divine life and return home to the Pleroma.
The Mythic and Symbolic Interpretation
The Matrix is a Black Sci-Fi Film about Black Leadership, a war against Systemic Racism, and Black Feminist Ideas about identifying with the Black Queen, Mother of Civilization.
As a Christian, I love these concepts and they are very powerful, but this is that Black Nationalist stuff from the 70s and we live in a different time, so I'm concerned about what I need for my Soul and finding my life's purpose.
The Gnostic Interpretation, Version 1 (Inverse Exegesis)
The Matrix is about Humanity (Children born of the woman's womb and also Children of the Light) fighting the Machines (Artifical Intelligence and Children/Clones born without Souls).
As a Christian, I identify as the Seed of Seth, the AI as the Demiurge and his attempt to trick the Seed of Seth, and my purpose to focus on the Divine Spark inside me.
As inorganic material, the Demiurge is constantly trying to eradicate the world of Seth's seed by using illusions and tricks.
As a Child of Light, I know that I must look within for my Divine Spark of Light and let that lead me to Sophia, who will lead us all back to the Pleroma.
The Gnostic Interpretation, Version 2 (Allegorical Interpretation)
As a Christian, I identify Neo as my Soul and it must choose between the Pleroma or being stuck here in Hell.
This story tracks my soul's journey from being trapped here and returning to the Pleroma.
Morpheus and his team are Aeons sent from the Divine Realm to take me back home.
It is their job to take me to the Oracle (Sophia) and after meeting the Oracle, my soul will determine that it is ONE of the Divine Sparks from the Pleroma.
My first job is to save Morpheus (Aeon) from being trapped here and after rescuing him, I will confront the Demiurge.
After fighting the Demiurge, I will then find my Divine Spark by allowing Trinity (Norea) to help me self-actualize.
Once I achieve Gnosis, I will also achieve Apotheosis and self-actualization, where upon I will break out of this reality and return to Barbelo.
Conclusion
I will ask you the question again.
Should Christians care about The Matrix?
If you say no, then you identify with your physical body and you are considered HYLIC.
If you say maybe, then you identify with your soul and you are considered PSYCHIC.
If you say YES, then identify with your SPIRIT and you are considered PNEUMATIC.
It is this last group, the Pneumatic, that are considered Gnostic with the Divine Spark within, and have the chance to return home to the Pleroma.
Now here is my last question.
If I replace the Original Question with a Better one, is this relevant now?
So, let's update the question.
Should Christians care about The TRUTH?
